Description
Cedar Point Recreation Area is a picnicking and camping paradise, where visitors can set up camp along the shore of Lake Buchanan for a day of fishing, or launch watercraft into the lake from the onsite boat ramp.

Cedar Point is no longer free. Price is $12 to camp plus $5 each person. We spoke to the caretaker Johnny and he suggested Granite Point which was 200m down the road and will only fit 1 RV. In reality it's a boat ramp that the locals use but we fit and you're on your own little island. Might annoy a few locals though, they were cool with us.

This is a beautiful spot with a constant breeze off the water and semi-private swimming beach at most sites. It is, however, not free. $25/night for tent camping for one person. Still worth it, in my opinion.
