Description

Ford Richardson used to be where soldiers protect settlers along the Texas frontier. Today, it offers several recreations. Hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, paddling, geocaching, and horseback riding are some activities to try. Several original buildings of the Fort still stand today. The park has 10 tent-only sites with water, 37 partial hookup sites, and 4 full hookup sites. It also has 1 group site for 50 people and 11 overflow sites. Picnic tables, fire rings, grills, restrooms and showers are located in the park. Camping fee is $12 to $25 a night.
