Paint Gap 4 (PG-4) can accommodate 2 vehicles, 6 people, no horses. Paint Gap Hills road is generally in good condition and accessible to all vehicles up to campsite PG-3. Beyond that high clearance is required at all times. The road is very rocky and rutted where it enters Paint Gap and may require 4-wheel drive to reach the ranch site located beyond PG-4.

Need a backcountry camping permit ($12 from visitor centres in the park). 4WD access only but there are 3 other campsites on the same road that don't need 4wd. Beautiful spot with amazing views of the park. Road to get in is a little hairy but totally worth it. Space for a couple of tents & a vehicle or two. Bear-proof bin on site.
