This was a very safe place to sleep. Pretty loud because of the train and other people coming in/out. It was kinda hard to find. Don't look for where google maps says it is, but where this app tags it.

Yes it's really free, no strings. The train can be very loud, but only noticed it while I was awake, slept like a baby. Park playground is nice for the kids too. 24hr limit.
