Description
Various hiking trails can be accessed from Dean Gardener campground like Whipple, Brown's Point, and Gardner Peak. You can also go horse riding or biking. And since it is located next to Pine Valley Reservoir, fishing is also another outdoor recreation you can do while camping here.
Dean Gardner has 21 single campsites and 3 double sites, all with picnic tables, fire pits, and tent pads. The campsite is shaded by Ponderosa pine trees. Drinking water and vault toilet can also be found on site. There is no garbage disposal so make sure to take everything with you. Quiet hours are being observed between 10pm to 6am. Fireworks, OHV or ATV are prohibited in the campground.
Camping fee for a single site is $21, and $42 for a double site. Dean Gardner is open from April 30 to September 26. All sites are for reservation which you can book through their hotline. RVs can be accommodated but there are no hookups available. Nearest dump station is located on Forest Route number 035.
