Description
Great Western trail can be accessed from this campground. It is also located next to Posey Lake which allows fishing and non-motorized boating. Posey Lake campground has 21 single sites and 1 group site, all equipped with tables, fire rings, and bear boxes. Vault toilets and drinking water are available.
Sites can be reserved in advance. Campers can stay here for as long as 14 days. Quiet hours are between 10pm to 6am. Dogs are allowed but they must be kept on leash at all times.
Camping fee is $14 per site and $53 for group site.

This is a good place to escape the excess sun exposure and heat of southern Utah. However, the 20-mile drive from Escalante can take a full hour late in the season due to a 'washboard' road surface much of the way.
