Description
This campground is situated at the base of humongous red cliffs of Navajo Sandstone. Mature cottonwood trees and willows are everywhere, providing shade for campsites. Quail creek also flows in this campground. Campers often spot a flock of Gambel's quail or hear some canyon wrens. Mojave desert tortoise and Gila monster are occasionally seen here, too.
Various trails can be hiked from here like the Red Reef trail. Most of them are really scenic which hikers, bikers usually enjoy.
Red Cliffs campground has 11 campsites with shade shelters, picnic tables, potable water, and grills. Accessible sites are numbers 8 and 11, while pull-thru parking is available at sites 6, 7, and 10. Quiet time is observed from 10pm to 7am. Camping fee is $15 a night.
