The Kane Gulch Ranger Station serves both the Cedar Mesa and the Bears Ears National Monument Shash Jáa Unit in Southeastern Utah, which are well known for their cultural resources. Visitors can park for the Kane Gulch Trailhead at the north of the ranger station. The Ranger Station also serves as a visitor center, where interpretive displays including photographs and drawings of numerous prehistoric sites, primarily rock art, and of archeologists at work can be found.
