Description
The Balanced Rock is one of the most iconic features in the Arches National Park, and stands 128 feet tall. Although the name states that the formation is balanced, the entire structure isn't balanced at all.
The formations becomes saturated in a deep red-orange making it a great place to end a fun-filled day in the park during sunset. This is also an ideal place for stargazing and night photography. The area features a picnic area, which contains multiple picnic tables, a covered canopy, a vault toilet, trash bins and spectacular views of Salt Valley and Balanced Rock.
