Description

Big Spring sits at the end of the Needles Park Road, and visitors can get views of the unique rock spires and multi-colored sandstone benches that line the bend in the canyon from the overlook. Hikers can follow the marked cairns down to the canyon to start the Big Spring to Elephant Hill loop, which is a challenging hike spanning 10.8 miles. Those who would like to challenge will have to climb two ladders in the pass between the canyons, making this a particularly strenuous hike.
