Description
East Rim Trail is located 100 feet west of East Entrance fee booths. This trail will lead hikers to a plateau with panoramic views of sandstone cliffs. As you continue through a Ponderosa forest, you will reach Stave Spring. Hikers can continue to and descend into Echo Canyon until you reach Observation Point.

This is a 10.6 mile (17km) trail, one way. If you wish to camp overnight on the trail, permits are available at the visitors centre.
