Description
Plenty of petrified logs can be found in this state park. There is also a marked hiking trail leading to the petrified forest. The park is located at Wide Hollow Reservoir, providing opportunities for boating, canoeing, fishing, and water sports.
Entrance fee is $8 for day use with watercraft launch. This park is open all year round, but closed on Christmas and New Year's Day.

The park consists of two trails, the petrified forest trail which is an Interpretive trail. Pick up your trail guide map at the start of the trail and a steep 0.75 mile extension trail where the best and largest petrified wood is found.
