Formerly called Hotel Utah, Joseph Smith Memorial Building has 3 restaurants, a genealogy research center, a theater and several banquet rooms. It was first built as a hotel in 1911 and stood as a world-class lodging for 76 years. It was reopened in 1993 for visitors to enjoy dine dining and also learn about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
