Description
Designated as a State Historical Monument in 1961, Newspaper Rock features a rock panel carved with one of the largest known collections of petroglyphs of human, animal, material and abstract forms. It is a 200-sq.ft. rock that is part of the vertical Wingate sandstone cliffs, which enclose the upper end of the Indian Creek Canyon.
