Description

Named for its striped canyon walls, Zebra Canyon is a short slot canyon which you can explore without any guide. The trailhead is located at Hole in the Rock road which is a dirt and gravel road. As you head onto the trail, you will see a wide canyon with striped red rock formations. As you approach Harris Wash, stay on the left until you reach the mouth of Zebra Slot Canyon. You will encounter a pool of cold water which can go up to chest deep in some sections. Some part of the canyon is only 10-inch wide, and will require scrambling. Once this narrow sections is passed, hikers will have a stunning view of the striped canyon walls.

Make sure no rain is in the forecast. It's about an hour hike in and an hour hike out. Bring a swimsuit or shorts that can get wet. Also might be good to bring water shoes if you have them, although I did it barefooted. Awesome slot canyon that is as wide as my thighs! Cool colored walls too, hence the name.
