Description
This 1.1-mile tunnel was completed in 1930. For vehicles 11 feet and 4 inches tall or taller, and 7 feet and 10 inches wide or wider, you will need a tunnel permit. Vehicles over 13 feet tall, semi-trucks, vehicles carrying hazardous materials, and those weighing over 50,000 pounds are prohibited to pass through this tunnel. Bicycles and pedestrians are not allowed here, as well.

Very dark and sometimes long waiting times.

Vehicles over 13'1' tall are not permitted in the tunnel. Large vehicles may travel through the tunnel from: March 8 - May 2 from 8am to 7pm and May 3 to September 5 from 8am to 8pm.

Rv drivers be aware!!!! This tunnel has signage for height of 13' 1' actual height allowable is 13' 11'. If you aren't sure on height of your RV suggest you select alternative route as it is a very tight space to turna around an RV
