Description

Eagle Peak Trail gains an elevation of 2,955 feet as a 7.2-mile round trip that takes around five hours to complete. Originally known as Sim-layshe, the Native American word for eagle, the peak was renamed when the Longmire family settled nearby and George Longmire anglicized the name to Eagle Peak.
