About a 20 minute walk down many switchbacks to the dam. Great views of the dam with it's emerald water.

Can also park overnight, close to road though. Strenuous hike back up from lake. Can phone across to hotel for a $2 boat ride to hotel, then hike thru for eat across dam and up hill.
