This is a great trail. You can camp in the upper areas if you choose. Early spring brings out the flowers. Fantastic Views of the Skagit river valley. On you way back to civilization stop at the Birdsview Brewery of a cold craft style beer.

great view from the top, and even as you're climbing the numerous switchbacks. long gravel road in but well-graded for the most part. vault toilet at the trailhead.
