If you make it to the creek/view platform you've gone a little too far. Look for the stairs on your left side.

I was able to make it to the abandoned view platform and to the creek, but not more than that. Not sire trail to the tree still exists. However it's still a nice short walk in the forest with big trees :)

Apparently the tree has fallen. Beginning of the very short trail is a bit through the bushes but after ten meters a very nice walk
