It is only a mile hike to the top of Young Hill. It climbs 587 feet to have a rewarding panoramic view of the island and the water surrounding it.
Toilets are located in the trailhead.

2.0 miles round trip to the summit and back to carpark. A short spur off the main trail leads to the English camp cemetery. There are two vantage points with great views at the top of the hill. We were lucky enough to see a bald eagle perched at the top of one of the trees.
