Description
Campers at Canyon Campground will have close access to several trails like Cascade Lake, Mt. Washburn, and Canyon Rim. 273 sites are nestled in a lodgepole pine forest.
Flush toilets, potable water, dump station, laundry, amphitheater, trash collection, and food lockers are available on site. You can also purchase ice and fire woods from the camp staff. There is mobile signal in the area but can be intermittent at times.
It usually closes from September to May. Each site can accommodate 6 people for as long as 14 days. There are accessible sites in Loop L which have extended picnic tables and raised fire grates. Accessible restrooms are also located nearby. RVs up to 40 feet can be accommodated in some sites.
Camping fee is $33 a night, exclusive of taxes and utility fees.

Many uneven Campsites, far distances in between campground, need a car

Very crowded. It took us 45 minutes to pay and check in. Freedom feels different. But still.. A good opportunity to stay inside the park with Elk, Bison, Fox and Bears creeping around.

friendly folks and good standard amenities. we got an accompanying free shower that was very hot and without time. yellowstone is one big park!
