Description
Located near Madison River where Gibon and Firehole rivers meet, Madison campground has a total of 278 sites. 62 of those are for tents only. Wildflowers are abundant here in the early summer, while elks can be heard in September.
The campground has flush toilets, potable water, dump station, amphitheater, food lockers, and trash collection. Ice and firewood can be purchased from the camp staff. Wood and charcoal fires are permitted but always ask first if there is a fire restriction in place. Sites are for reservation through Yellowstone National Park Lodges.
RVs up to 30 feet can be accommodated but no hookups are available in the camp. There are 3 accessible sites with extended picnic table and raised fire grate. Camping fee is $28 a night for a single site. Madison Campground is usually close from October to May.
