Hwy 20 parallels the Wind River south of Thermopolis. Crossing the Boysen Reservoir dam on the single Lane road provides access to the west side of the river and the day use area at the base of the dam. Continuing down stream on the unsealed road, there are several turnarounds appropriate for an overnight.
