Description
A strenuous 7.9-mile roundtrip hike which takes about 4 to 6 hours. From the trailhead, you will have to climb to Phelp Lakes Overlook, drop down to Phelps Lake, then up again to Death Canyon. You will pass through forests and rocky slopes before you reach the patrol cabin at Death Canyon. You can opt to continue deep into the canyon or head back.

Also a good walk just to the Phelps lake viewpoint. The road to the parking is quite bad. Would not drive a van there and rather walk the extra 1,5km.
