Description

Gibbon Falls is an 84-foot waterfall dropping water to a caldera formed by a massive volcanic eruption over 640,000 years ago. Arctic grayling which is a stream-dwelling fish are now usually seen at Gibbon River below the falls. The area is wheelchair accessible. There are interpretive exhibits around for those who want to know more about the falls.

Nice big falls. You can see them from the road but take the time to stop at the designated areas for a photo. Please don't cause an unnecessary traffic jam.
