Description

Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum features various exhibits about natural history, Native Americans, Indians War in Wyoming, Johnson County Cattle War, Basque Community, and Jim Gatchell's' pharmacy. The main entrance of the museum is the Carnegie Library Building. There is also The Carriage House, the Jenkins Family Homestead, American Indian Tipi, and Nate Champion statue. There is store in the museum where you can purchase souvenirs, art, jewelry, books, candies, and toys. During summer, it is open from Mondays to Saturdays at 9am to 5pm, and opens late at 12nn on Sundays. In winter, it is open from Mondays to Fridays at 9am to 4pm. The museum closes on holidays. Admission fee is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, veterans/retired military, and teens, and $3 for aged 6 to 11. Admission is free for Gatchell Museum Association members, active military and immediate family, and children aged 5 and under.
