Description

The National Elk Refuge provides, preserves, restores, and manages the area's winter habitat for the Jackson Elk Herd and the habitat for endangered species, birds, fish, and other mammals. Visitors can go on recreational activities commonly referred to as the 'Big 6'- hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, photography, environmental education, and interpretation.

This is a winter feeding station for the elk. It's a long gravel ( well maintainted) road with lots of pull ins to view wildlife. All the elk had moved on but we did see a big herd of the big horn sheep! Definatley worth it.
