Description

Washakie Museum and Cultural Center features various exhibits about the historical people and environment of Big Horn Basin. It has the finest interpretive centers for local human history, geology, archaeology, and paleontology of the area. Conferences, conventions, and other gathering events are held here, as well. During summer, the museum is open from 9am to 5:30 pm on weekdays, until 5pm on Saturdays, and 12nn to 4pm on Sundays. During Winter, it opens from 9am to 4pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Admission fee is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for children, and $5 for veterans. Kids aged 6 and under are free. They offer family package fee of $25 for 4 adults and children. Museum members and all active duty military personnel are free.
