Description
It features a total of 171 campsites, 34 are exclusive for tents, 97 are full hookup RV sites, and 40 are camper cabins. Headwaters is located 2 miles south of Yellowstone and 5 miles north of Grand Teton, making it a good basecamp if you want to explore both national parks.
The campground has flush toilets, hot showers, potable water, dump station, laundry, amphitheater, trash bin, and food lockers. There is a camp store where you can purchase ice and fire woods. A camp host is present to give assistance to campers.
Most of the sites are accessible, even the restrooms and shower. Maximum length for RVs is 45 feet. There is no mobile signal and internet service in this campground. If you happen to need it, the closest facility offering it is Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center in Moose.
Camping fee is $42 for tent sites, $84 for RV sites, and $77 for camper cabins.

The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and remembered our name every time we saw him. $40 per night with no hook ups but expected for the area. He kindly allowed us to fill our tanks before we left. Amenities were clean and showers hot.

More than $40 for a site without water, near the noisy road, it's crazy. As cyclists, in Mammoth we paid $5 and in Grant Village $18...Go to Sheffield Creek, it's $5
